This Privacy Policy explains how VergEra collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, retains and deletes information when users access or use the VergEra mobile application, website, communities, communication tools, Practice Board, Live Classrooms and other related services made available through the VergEra platform.
In this Privacy Policy, “VergEra”, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to the operator of the VergEra platform. “User”, “you” and “your” refer to any person who accesses or uses VergEra.
The public website at vergera.in is primarily an informational and support website. VergEra account, learning, communication and community features are primarily provided through the mobile application.

We may collect information that you provide when creating an account, completing your Learning Identity, communicating with other users, participating in communities or classrooms, or otherwise using VergEra.

When you use VergEra, certain technical and service-related information may be collected automatically by VergEra or by service providers used to operate the platform.

Device Permissions
VergEra may request device permissions when they are required for a feature that you choose to use.
Microphone
Microphone permission may be requested when you join or participate in a Live Classroom or another audio communication feature.
Live audio may be processed in real time by the communication services used by VergEra to provide the classroom experience. VergEra does not intentionally store Live Classroom audio unless a separate recording feature is clearly provided and used.
Camera and media
Camera, photo or media access may be requested when you choose to capture, select, upload or share a profile photograph, image, video or other resource.
Files and documents
File access may be used when you choose PDFs, presentations, notes, documents or other resources to upload, view or share.
Notifications
Notification permission may be used for messages, Tie-Up activity, community updates, classroom reminders, account notices and safety communications.
You can manage application permissions through your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from functioning correctly.

Information Visible to Other Users
VergEra is a collaborative learning platform with social and community features. Information that you add to public parts of your profile, communities or shared resources may be visible to other users.

Users should not publish passwords, financial information, government identification numbers, private contact information or other sensitive personal information in public profiles, communities, reviews or shared resources.
Third-Party Service Providers
VergEra uses third-party technology and service providers to operate application infrastructure and provide certain features.
Firebase and Google Cloud services
Firebase and related Google Cloud services may be used for authentication, databases, file storage, Cloud Functions, notifications, security, diagnostics and other application infrastructure.
ZEGOCLOUD
ZEGOCLOUD technology may process information required to provide real-time communication and classroom functionality.
This may include session identifiers, participant identifiers, network information and real-time audio or interactive Super Board information while a Live Classroom is active.
Google Play
When subscriptions or other eligible digital purchases are offered through the Android application, Google Play may process purchase and payment information.
VergEra may receive information such as purchase status, product identifiers, order information or purchase tokens required to validate purchases and provide subscription access.
VergEra does not directly collect complete payment-card credentials for purchases processed by Google Play.
Third-party providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. VergEra selects and configures its service providers according to the functionality required by the platform.
How Information May Be Shared
Information may be shared:
- With other users when you publish profile information, participate in communities, send messages or share content
- With service providers that process information as necessary to operate VergEra
- With authorised administrators and moderators where necessary for support, safety and platform management
- When reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, threats, safety incidents or security concerns
- When required by applicable law, valid legal process or lawful government request
- As part of a legitimate merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable legal requirements
Private messages are not intended to be displayed publicly. Authorised access may occur where reasonably necessary for support, safety, investigation of reported misconduct, security or legal compliance.
Data Retention
VergEra retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide its services, maintain accounts, protect users, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and satisfy applicable legal obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, account status, safety requirements and applicable legal obligations.
After account deletion, some limited information may remain temporarily in backups, security records or system logs.
Certain information may also be retained where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, security or protection of users.
Information that no longer needs to be retained may be deleted, anonymised or otherwise removed in accordance with applicable requirements.

Users may request deletion of their VergEra account and associated personal data that is eligible for deletion.

We may request reasonable verification to confirm that the deletion request relates to the correct account.
When an account deletion request is completed, VergEra will delete or anonymise personal data associated with the account except where limited retention is reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or applicable legal obligations.
Account deletion does not automatically cancel a subscription managed through Google Play. Users should separately manage or cancel their Google Play subscription through their Google Play account.
Security
VergEra uses reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, misuse, alteration, destruction or loss.
These measures may include:
- Authentication and role-based access controls
- Firebase Security Rules
- Restricted administrator access
- Encrypted network connections provided by service platforms

No electronic system or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children and Young Users
VergEra includes communication, community and user-generated-content features. The platform must only be used in accordance with the age requirements and target audience applicable to the version of VergEra made available through the relevant application store.
Users who are not legally able to consent to the processing of their personal information should use VergEra only where permitted by applicable law and with any required involvement or permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Users must not use VergEra to exploit, groom, endanger, harass, threaten or inappropriately contact children or young users.
Suspected child-safety concerns may be reviewed, restricted, escalated or reported to appropriate authorities where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users.
International Processing
VergEra service providers may operate infrastructure in multiple countries. Information may therefore be processed or stored outside the user's state, region or country.
Where applicable, VergEra and its service providers will handle such information subject to applicable contractual, security and legal requirements.
